April saw Dan make his debut. An ex-racehorse, this lovable goofball has been steadily schooling at home under the guiding hands of Amber. He’s got the most wonderful, trainable temperament and much time has been spent on his flatwork and over poles to improve his way of going and teaching him how to use himself differently.

Amber took him to his first dressage which was run by a local club at our venue so it was a great introduction to white dressage boards and a show environment. Although extremely green and tense at times, he managed a 4th in an Intro B test and earned himself his first rosette (which you can see he’s not too impressed about!)

Amber also competed Ruby and took the opportunity to step her up into a Novice and Elementary test which the clever little cob duly went and won.

6th May saw Podge & Ruby go showjumping at Coleraine. With a 90cm win for Ruby with Podge taking 2nd place & a further 100cm win for Ruby. So far so good, but was the winning streak likely to continue …….
