So with the COVID-19 pandemic, we knew there was no chance that we were going to be able to run our normal events and camps this Summer. However, we were determined to salvage them as best we could! This year saw an updated camp format with no actual camping but all the fun of action packed days. Due to social distancing rules, we were sadly not able to offer any beginners or younger riders the opportunity to participate which we were sad about but fingers crossed that next year we will be back to normal.
For the rest of our riders, this did mean they got to enjoy longer hours in the saddle, had the opportunity to learn about Prix Caprilli and have an introduction to pony racing, enjoy a fun equine anatomy lesson and understand how to load a pony for travelling, learn how to build and ride a show jumping course and do some XC schooling plus lots more! We’ve attached some images from the two days to give everyone a taste of what camp life is like!
Congratulations to Olivia for earning the trophy for most improved Pony Club camp member and Georgia for best overall Pony Club camp member!
