What’s the story I keep telling myself that’s holding me back?
What I’m referring to is the inner self-talk we have inside our heads that shapes ourselves & the views of our world.
Successful people will reflect & question the validity of these stories & self-limiting beliefs (I’m too old to……..) because if left unchecked they can become self-fulfilling prophecies.
They believe in themselves, recognize that negativity can lead to self-doubt & anxiety, which will ultimately prevent them moving forward.
Reframing is a technique used to alter negative thoughts into positive thinking. It works by changing the context, language, interpretation of a situation to give a new perspective or meaning. For instance:
“I’m so bad at this” becomes ” If I keep trying I will improve” or “I don’t know how” becomes “I can learn how”.
Reframing your thoughts means keeping your goal in mind & using the best perspective that will enable you to get closer to achieving that goal!
